The Security Care Plan offers the economical option of ProChecks for your furnace or air conditioning—or both. Regular and Emergency Service Calls are available at our regular rate (after-hours service fees apply), but you will get Priority Service for a quicker response.

What is Included in the 20-Point Safety ProChecks?

With our Security Care Plan, you’ll receive an annual furnace and air conditioning safety ProCheck:

20-Point Cooling ProCheck 

  1. Verify initial operation
  2. Check filter
  3. Inspect oil motor level and lube bearings
  4. Examine belts
  5. Check blower and amps
  6. Inspect pulley for wear and alignment
  7. Examine blower wheel
  8. Check electrical connections
  9. Check CFM amps
  10. Inspect contact, pitting, corrosion
  11. Check crankcase heater
  12. Inspect wires and fuses for overheating
  13. Visually check for a refrigerant leak
  14. Check condenser fan motor and oil
  15. Examine condenser fan blade and rain shield
  16. Check system pressure
  17. Check temperature drop across coil
  18. Verify amp draw on compressor
  19. Check and level thermostat
  20. Inspect and clean drain

20-Point Heating ProCheck

  1. Verify thermostat operation
  2. Visually inspect heat exchanger
  3. Check air filter (air cleaner and/or filter media)
  4. Check blower motor. If applicable, check oil bearing, belt, bearings, and pulleys
  5. Inspect blower wheel for cleanliness
  6. Check pilot ignition sequence and clean and adjust pilot
  7. Verify main burner operation, clean burners, and check gas pressure
  8. Check fan switch/heating fan relay operation
  9. Cycle furnace off and record “fan off” temperatures
  10. Check flue draft on natural draft furnaces
  11. Verify flue spill switch operation (if applicable)
  12. Confirm draft safeguard switch operation (if applicable)
  13. Check furnace temperature rise
  14. Confirm primary limit operation
  15. Verify auxiliary limit switch operation (if applicable)
  16. Fire furnace and check gas lines to main burners
  17. Perform combustion air test and carbon monoxide test
  18. Clean furnace cabinet
  19. Operate furnace through one complete cycle
  20. Clean and test flame sensor
